PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) adalah perusahaan pertambangan batubara yang terletak di wilayah Sengata, Kalimantan Timur. KPC telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1992, dan merupakan salah satu pertam bangan open pit terbesar di dunia. PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) mengoperasikan tambang batubara di Sangatta Kalimantan Timur dan merupakan salah satu tambang batubara ekspor terbesar di dunia. Untuk mempertahankan posisinya sebagai penghasil batu bara paling efisien di dunia, KPC sedang melakukan peningkatan bisnis dan kinerja secara formal.

PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) memiliki konsesi pertambangan dengan ukuran sekitar 90.938 hektar di Sangatta dan Bengalon di provinsi Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Pada 2012, total produksi batubara KPC di tambang Sangatta dan Bengalon mencapai 41,0 juta ton, naik dari 40,5 juta ton pada 2011.

Key Elements of the position include:

• Coordinate with Pit Geologist/Supt Grade Control for updating quality from pit samples and geological model.
  Liaise and coordinate with Mine Planning to review the FOM product 91it/classification from time to time align with current market condition.
  Liaise and coordinate with MOD and CMD EngineerstSupt Technical both Sangatta and Bengalon, related to short, mid and long term production plan.
  Liaise and coordinate with CPPM, CHTM, Marine, CMD Bengalon related to maintenance schedule.
  Liaise and coordinate with Marketing to advice quality specs Of coal sales or available products to market.
  Provide instructions/information to Crusher Scheduling Engineer and Blend Planning Engineer for aligning coal flow scenario related plans.
  Coordinate with MOD and CMD Pit Production, Technical to ensure the quality Of coal iS still within acceptable range as stated in the specification.
  Monitor mining progress at pit in weekly basis.
  Conduct regular monitoring manage data on the quality Of coal at ROM stockpiles and Coal Inventories to obtain consistent. accurate and valid data.
  Develop other employees as required
  Continuously measure section performance (productivity and efficiency).
  Manage changes on business processes as required to improve the productivity and efficiency.
  Promote, reinforce, and monitor the implementation of KPC’s HSE systems in all aspect of section’s activities.

Qualifications :

• S1 in Mining Engineering Geology, or Natural Sciences (Mathematics/Chemistry) with a minimum of 3 years experience working in a coal production/geology/quality environment.
  Ability to work with to collect and analyse coal quality data and to monitor the implementation of plan.
  Understanding of coal qualityelated specifications as required by each buyer in the contract.
  Written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  Ability to perform lateral thinking and to develop plans especially on coal production.
  Ability to operate computer software, especiatty spread sheet (advanced in spread sheet like MS Excel).
  Ability to read analyze and interpret instructional and technical materials related to technical procedures, quality management. safety, and applicable government regulations.
  Ability to irnplement quality assurance and quality control
  Analytical skills.
  Leadership and planning skills.
